Urban Money Box

What a funky little creation. This is the Urban Money Box by Barbed spotted on Not On The High Street.

It is ceramic.

Notes or coins can be fed through its mouth.

Access to your money, through its feet

I love it!

Friday Late, June: Afropolitans - Victoria and Albert Museum

Friday Late, June: Afropolitans - Victoria and Albert Museum

24 June 2011
18.30-22.00

An evening exploring African photography, fashion, style and identity. The evening will look back to image-makers who captured the excitement, optimism and sense of freedom of post-independence African nations from the 1960s, and forward to a new generation of ‘Afropolitans’, global tastemakers whose sensibilities are rooted in their African identities. It promises to be a fun and celebratory evening of modern, iconic, African aesthetics, reflecting how Africans living across the continent (and beyond) view themselves and their visual heritage.

Patchwork Clutch

So we've been experimenting in the Urbanknit studios and this is what we've made recently. It is a patchwork Megasnap clutch which is uses a take on traditional patchwork. There is nothing symmetrical or ordered about this. Still can't decide on how I feel about it. Maybe another attempt is on order to see if it is something I will pursue as a design.
A friend pointed out that you can get two looks in one. One side for a darker moodier look and the other a brighter, redder look.

What do you think?
