Bee Bags

The Bee Bag is an Urbanknit tote that's great for buzzing around; shopping, going to the park, books and magazines anything really.

The straps make it a comfortable tote to carry on the shoulder. The Bee bag comes in a variety of Ankara (African Wax Print) and Adire (African tie dye fabric). Some also incorporate elements of Aso-oke fabric.

We Love Wool

As the clocks have now gone back, there is no denying it is now officially winter time. So out come the lovely soft scarves and cowls.  As most of our winter warmers are made from 100% merino wool, we thought we might give you a few pointers on how to take care of your pieces.

CARE:

  • Clean using a mild detergent in lukewarm water. Never use hot water as this shrinks wool. Also do not wring the piece as this will distort its shape.
  • To dry, lay the piece flat and reshape if necessary allowing it to dry away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not hang as wool can adsorb a lot of water this will cause the item to stretch from the weight of the water.
  • Do not dry in a tumble dryer as the heat will cause the wool to shrink.
  • Wool should be stored in an airtight environment which is cool and dry.

Etsy Frontpage!

Do you recognise this image? You would usually see it as a digital image. A certain frontpage, of a certain website. Yes, you guessed it, the Etsy frontpage! This idea was to create a 3D version of the Etsy frontpage complete with products.

This was done at Artsmart which was held over the summer to showcase art and design from the University of the Arts London. It included a market, various stall and information points as well as a talks programme and a recruitment fair.

Etsy was on hand to provide information about starting a business and building a brand. We were excited to have one of our pieces, the Lime Batik Supersnap clutch chosen to go in the display. Such a cool idea. We loved it!
