Neckwarmer

Ginger neckwarmer, originally uploaded by Urbanknit.

Neckwarmer, snood, cowl, cuff, scarflette. Goes by so many names but is a really simple idea. Something that keeps your neck warm without getting in the way, falling off or getting lost.

I like to make them in chunky 100% merino wool. I have been experimenting with varying the stitching to give added texture. More here and here

I like the chunkies too. I've been seeing scarflettes more and more lately and I'm thinkin they would be more comfortable than a regular scarf.

Wow, this knit looks so toasty warm. It's a shame we're heading into Summer in Australia. I like the idea of your neckwarmer...a scarf does always seem to fall off your shoulders

@ moxylyn, I agree, they are completely 'hands-free'

@ Cate, lucky you are going into summer,we have crashed right into winter in Enlgand!

Would you consider selling patterns for your neckwarmers? I love the stitch patterns you use. :)
